I think what this all shows us is that eventually, a secondary gym will not be able to contain 10th Planet Headquarters. I’m not referring to Burbank here, I’m referring to Legends. Here we are, at the mercy of a mediocre fight gym (I train there regularly still, so I’m not trying be down on it – this is just the current and obvious reality) when our members make up the largest percentage of that gym’s population. The fact is this: Legends needs 10th Planet. 10th Planet does not need Legends. To me, the writing is on the wall. I can’t speak in any way to Eddie’s plans for the future, but the man is building an empire. And sooner or later, all empires have their own capitols…

The new Legends, which will allegedly be larger, is located on Santa Monica Blvd just East of Fairfax, in a building formerly occupied by Time Warner Cable.

On the plus side, it will have its own (free) parking lot. If it ever opens, which I wouldn’t count on.

January 2010??? WTF!!! I was planning to enroll this month! I would enroll at Burbank but I don’t want to make the drive. I guess I’ll wait for the relocation. God knows how long….

So is HQ gonna be at a new place or will it still be at Legends?

Here’s the deal on Hollywood: The owner of Legends originally claimed that the new gym space would be open in early July. However, construction has not even begin yet. In reality, the EARLIEST that Legends could re-open is October. The MORE REALISTIC opening date is January 2010. I have absolutely no interest in detailing how I know this, but you’re going to have to trust me this time around.
