I don’t know if this is RGPD worthy but I was looking at an article on Lockflow by Jason Mallory (http://www.no-gi-grappling.com) who use to train with Eddie (he is a purple belt). He has the Golden Arm Sweep which he started doing in 2007 he said.
Very similar (no exactly) to Handcuffing and perhaps pre dates it? Just interesting for historical purposes. I know no one invents stuff perse but this might have been around before.
I don’t think the Handcuff sweep and the Golden Arm sweep are the same at all. The GA sweep works by trapping the arm on the opposite side of the lockdown. The Handcuff sweep is for when you go for an Electric Chair, get stuffed but find yourself in a kind of reverse Whip-up. You end up trapping the arm on the same side as the lockdown.
I should clarify that “RGPD worthy” didn’t mean “bad” in this case! I was just pointing out that Jason had busted this out about 3 years ago and I thought that was pretty damn cool.
