You see this come up all the time in MMA where somebody will get the back, and can’t finish due to the opponent holding on to the gloves. Brandon Show’s a slick way to go from the back to The Twister.
Brandon Quick demonstrates one of Scott “Einstein” Epstein’s money moves, “The Epste-cutioner”. It’s a great alternative if your opponent keeps his hands tightly in the t-rex position or doesn’t tap to a north/south choke.
Shinya hits the Karo pass at 2:14 of the Video. Later he uses the rubber guard, clears the hand to the mat, but then clears the neck in a funky way which leads to Hansen popping out. I won’t spoil the end of the fight.
Aoki is a submission wiz! He uses rubber guard and gets to the New York Position before time runs out at the end of the second round. It’s at 16:25 of the vid.

Book this fool at your gym, he likes drum and bass.
These nice blokes from England came into the gym to film not too long ago. I believe it’s England’s answer to the Human Weapon or something. At least that was what I was told. Eddie shows the butterfly sweep from the cocoon position and then gives a little interview. 10th Planet Blowin’ up in the U.K.
Here’s Eddie demonstrating the swim move to the spider web position, and then finishes it off with with the bicep crusher. A good example of this is Dong Sik Yoon vs. Melvin Manhoef
10th Planet DFW’s Brandon Quick shows a new brutal way to set up the twister from the 100%. It traps the opponent’s far arm, making it easier to apply the submission.
This pass didn’t have a name, or at least not one that we knew about. So, Eddie decided to name it after the guy who does it the best, Karo Parisyan. Karo actually stopped by Legends while Eddie was teaching the technique, and Eddie had him show it to the class. Karo later calls Eddie about it. Eddie was a little scared at first, he was not sure if he maybe offended him by naming the technique, The Karo. Karo has a reputation, as seen on The Ultimate Fighter, as being a bit tempermental at times. Karo called to say he was actually stoked he named the technique after him.
This is one of me favorite passes. I use it all the time.
