Eddie Bravo Rollin’ **Steady Cam Edition
August 29th, 2009“Learning the hard way, from Eddie Bravo, how critical flexibility can be to your Jiu-Jitsu game. I was holding my own for a while, until he got that foot in and opened up the swim move. Finished me with a loco plata or something…”

10th Planet Burbank – Open Mat Part 1 (May 17, 2009) – Competition Month
June 5th, 200910th Planet Burbank – This is how we get down! Well, not me, I was sick this day. So, this is how my boys get down at my gym in my absence. I’d like to think I somehow inspired them to have such an amazing training session though. I was definitely helping run this session from my couch while I was sleeping off whatever virus/bug I’d picked up. =P
Great job guys!!!
10th Planet Burbank’s, Rachel Tan, Takes On Eddie Bravo
May 19th, 200910th Planet Burbank’s stand out planeteer, Rachel Tan, goes toe to toe against Grand Master Eddie Bravo. Eddie frequently visits the Burbank 10th Planet Moon to teach class and roll with the students.
Coaching Rachel has been one of the coolest experiences I’ve had teaching. She has alien like flexibility, is an incredibly fast learner, and has natural talent for Jiu Jitsu. She’s also deaf. Her boyfriend and fellow 10th Planet practitioner, Jason Juatco, translates the lessons to her as best he can during class. Everything else she picks up by watching. She is hungry to start competing, so watch out world, Rachel Tan is going to be double baggin’ a tournament near you!

Coach Alder Hampel vs. Zunks @ 10th Planet Hollywood
August 6th, 2008Here’s me vs. Zunks. I have to appologize to him for putting this video up. Especially since the first submission I get him in is “The Bouncer”, the ol’ hammer lock used by pro wrestlers and bouncers alike. It’s effectively used to escort “That Guy” out of your fine establishment. You know the drunk obnoxious guy with the Affliction shirt claiming he’s a UFC fighter. I’m obsessed with using pro wrestling moves in Jiu Jitsu. I feel it’s my duty, when the opportunity arises, to use moves like this. Stay tuned for my choke slam guard pass series coming out later this year on Panther Video.
I’d also like to appologize for using the sound fx of kids clowning and a golf clap. I come from a back ground in sound. It’s in my blood to be entertained by funny sound fx. I’ll probably lose a training partner for this, but I thought it was funny, so I had to do it.
I did the intro music, it features a vocal sample of the Bad Boy Karl Cutta MC. The other songs are “Under Mi Sensi” and “Boom Boom”. I hope you guys enjoy

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu: Mount to Carni
July 26th, 2008Brent CUO began his jiu jitsu career with Ricardo “Rey” Diogo, a Carlson Gracie Black belt and team member. After three years of training with Rey and following a promotion to blue belt, Brent decided to shed the gi and started his training with Eddie “The Twister” Bravo. Under Eddie’s tutelage, Brent was promoted to purple belt and began teaching private lessons to beginners at tenth planet. During the following two years, Brent continued to work at tenth planet, and in September of 2006, he became a brown belt, receiving his belt from Eddie Bravo himself. Today, Brent still coaches for tenth planet at Legends Gym in Hollywood and hopes to get his black belt soon.
As far as teaching is concerned, Brent has experience far beyond the gym and the mats, experience that he believes allows him to convey jiu jitsu technique at the highest level. In addition to having an undergraduate degree in religion, Brent also has a Masters degree in Applied Psychology. He has worked as a school teacher to special needs children and, today, works as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Through working in both of these fields, Brent believes that he has a unique understanding how to package information in an easily digestible manner, helping every beginner become proficient in brazilian jiu jitsu at an accelerated pace.
If you would like to contact Brent for private lessons, you can reach him at checkuroil (at) hotmail.com. His specialties include the half guard, rubber guard, and the d’arce (brabo) choke.
Here’s my first original video, I just taught myself how to edit. The better I get, the worse these videos are going to get. I’m going to use the “Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job” format. It’s going to be bad acting, awful music, terrible editing and when I figure out how, bad fx. Just think the Whiskey Skate videos mashed up with the Invisible Skratch Piklz and a little Public access thrown in, but for Jiu Jitsu.
